Compensation in form of “Annuity” is being paid to the Religious Institutions for their lands vested with the government under Karnataka Land Reforms Act 1961. From the FY 2018-19 Government has increased the compensation, minimum of Rs. 48,000/- to each Institution.
Compensation in form of “Tasdik” is being paid to the Religious Institutions for their lands vested with the government under Karnataka Inam Abolition Act 1955 section 21 and Karnataka other Inam abolition Act 1977.
From the FY 2006-07 Government has increased , minimum tasdik compensation to Rs. 6000/- to each institution. Further from the FY 2010-11 increased to Rs. 12,000/- , From the FY 2015-16 Increased to Rs.24,000, From the FY 2017-18 increased to RS. 48,000/- respectively.
Government Grant for Repairs/Renovation/Development
Government grants is being sanctioned for the Development/Repairs/Renovation temples.
Government Grant in Aid is sanctioned to incur daily expenses of Poojas and Maintainence of the Muzrai Institutions with meager Income.
This Scheme came into force from the year 1990-91. Under this Scheme Grants is being sanctioned for Construction of Temples, Prayer Hall and Other Religious Purposes in the places resided by Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, Minorities like Cristians, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, Bhuddist, Parsis and Anglo Indians. Government has released Guidelines in this regard for release of grants.
Government has issued separate guidelines for Implementation of Aradhana Scheme
Schedule Caste Sub Plan (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Plan (TSP):-
These two schemes were introduced from the year 2011-12. Under these Schemes grant is being sanctioned for the Renovation / repais /new construction of Temples/Payer hall/Kalyana Mantapas in the places resided by Schedule caste and Schedule Tribe respectively.
This Scheme was introduced from the year 2011-12, Under this Scheme grant is being sanctioned for the Modernization of Grave Yards.
Financial Assistance to Manasa Sarovara Piligrims :-
The Government has introduced this scheme from the F.Y. 2006-07, under this scheme Financial Assistance of Rs. 30,000/- to each pilgrims completing Kailash Manasa Sarovara.
Financial Assistance to Chardham Piligrims :-
The Government has introduced this scheme in the year 2014-15, under this scheme Financial Assistance of Rs. 20,000/- to each pilgrims completing Chardham Yatra
Common Pool Fund
As per Section 17 of Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowment ACT 1997, Contributions is being collected as Common Pool Funds at the rate of 10 % of the Net Income in respect of Institutions whose gross income exceed Rs 10.00 Lakhs and 5% of the Net Income in respect of Institutions whose gross income exceed Rs 5.00 Lakhs but not exceeding Rs. 10.00 lakhs. The common poll fund is utilized as per the provisions under Section 19 of the Act with the prior approval from Rajya Dharmika Parishath. These Grants is also Sanctioned for development of Dilapidated temples.
Development Committee is framed for the repairs/renovation/development of the Notified Institutions using Public Donations.
Permissions and Recognition for Starting New Agama Schools and colleges. Every Year Agama Exams are Conducted.
